She was a member of a noble British family, the Spencer family, but not originally part of the royal family. Diana became widely known when she married Prince Charles, the Prince of Wales, on July 29, 1981, at St Paul's Cathedral. After marriage, she was known as the Princess of Wales. They had two sons, Prince William and Prince Harry, who later became important members of the British royal family. Princess Diana was admired worldwide for her kindness, beauty, and humanitarian work, especially her efforts to help people affected by AIDS and landmines. However, her marriage with Prince Charles faced many difficulties, and they divorced in 1996. Sadly, Princess Diana died on August 31, 1997, in a tragic car accident in Paris, France. Even after her death, she is remembered as the “People’s Princess” for her compassion and dedication to helping others. ...
