National Independence Day Of Sri Lanka

 


Sri Lanka's Independence Day is celebrated annually on February 4,1948, Sri Lanka gained independence from British colonial rule.on that day. the country obtained self-goerning status under Dominion status.the official independence ceremony was held in colombo.during the national flag is hosised and the national anthem is sung.

At present, the main independence day celebration is held in colombo often at Gall Face Green or another significant venue. the president address the nation, and there is a ceremonial parade featuring the tri-forces the police.
